Today was an extremely productive hobby day, and it was also my anniversary! Which is why this took a lot longer to post than normal. I made some really good homemade pizza and brownies for dinner and laser cut my wife a commemorative picture frame which she seemed to really like.
Anyway, on the hobby side of things, I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to make an Exodite Wave Serpent, and it finally clicked after seeing my wife’s current painting project – the Akhelian Leviadon. This is a sweet mini from the Iodeneth Deepkin line from Age of Sigmar, and it sparked all kinds of silly ideas in my brain for how I might make a Wave Serpent.

Here it is, really emphasizing how silly the 60 mm flight stands that GW uses for everything are.
Another angle:

I still need to sculpt some smoothing joints, and decide if I want to use some of the Kabalite warriors from a Venom kit plus some leftover guardian helmets and bits to make things look like they’re riding around on the shell. The answer is probably yes, but it’s a lot more work and I hate adding even more complexity to an already complex project.
In addition to making this thing a reality, I was able to get some quality time with my airbrush on my Space Wolves Gladiators and Intercessors as well.

All told, I’m about an hour of painting work into these guys now, and probably need another 3 to finish them all up to a reasonable standard to match my scheme. I’m also going to need to charge my UV flashlight to make the ice bases – I haven’t needed to do that since approximately 6 months ago now.
Tomorrow I’m building a bunch of Eldar infantry and maybe getting in a game with Ynnari or with Stormlance!
Thanks for reading everyone, we’ll see you next time.
