It’s always nice to put the final touches on a mini, and this Shroud Runner is really no exception. There are tons of things I’d like to still do, but for the sake of my sanity I’m going to call this done for now and start moving on to other things.

Overall, I’m quite pleased with the macro composition, I feel like I got the right colors and textures in roughly the right places, and I think it will feel cohesive with the rest of the army when I get down the road a bit. I like how muted the raptor is for the most part, and I’m going to do slightly different colors with the same sort of feel for the other two in the unit as well I think.
I’d like my blending on some of the rider parts to be cleaner, and I can’t help but feel like there’s something I could do to make the feathers less of a mess, but it’s time to move on.
Speaking of, I’ve got something fun lined up to paint next – two Gladiator Lancers! I’m going to run these in a new Thunderwolf Heavy list soon I think, and I need to get some paint on them. This will, of course, be using my aurora wolves color scheme, and I’m excited to paint some more celtic knots on stuff.
Here’s one primed up as proof I’ve gotten started on that.

They will be primarily grey, like my wolves, with bright aurora color pockets and some silly freehands planned for various parts of the hull.
Thanks for reading, see you tomorro!
